Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 6th that it held the March regular assembly, marking the "start of a joyful month," with about 100 employees attending in the 3rd-floor conference room.
The regular assembly proceeded in the order of the 2022 Eup/Myeon comprehensive evaluation (Top Excellence: Ssangchaek-myeon, Excellence: Hapcheon-eup, Chogye-myeon, Ssangbaek-myeon), the 2023 local tax administration Eup/Myeon evaluation (Top Excellence: Yaro-myeon, Jeokjung-myeon, Excellence: Ssangbaek-myeon, Samga-myeon), awards for meritorious public officials in county administration, requests, and a special lecture titled "Chungju City SNS Story" by Officer Kim Seontae.
The county improved the operation method this year to break away from the rigid and conventional one-way communication style of the regular assembly and develop it into a venue for employee communication.
The first regular assembly held after the improvement of the operation method attracted high interest from employees even before it started, inviting Officer Kim Seontae (Chungju City PR man), a YouTube specialist from Chungju City.
County Governor Kim Yooncheol said, "Please speedily promote the promises of the 8th popular election term, which are commitments to the residents, so that the residents can feel the administrative changes," and added, "I ask the employees to strive to create a trustworthy public service culture by behaving properly and maintaining a proper demeanor as servants of the people."
Following this, Officer Kim Seontae’s special lecture on proactive administration was held under the theme "Individuals Can Change Organizations." It received high acclaim by approaching specific cases of how a single public official’s simple yet ingenious idea led to enhancing Chungju City’s brand image.
Hapcheon-gun plans to try various attempts in future regular assemblies, such as performances through employees’ talent donations, distinctive and entertaining lectures, and talk concerts.
