Gwangju Bank Launches 'Hometown Love Donation Campaign' Participation Drive

Gwangju Bank recently announced on the 3rd that it held a 'Hometown Love Donation Campaign' at the head office KJ Sangsaeng Maru, attended by Gwangju Bank President Ko Byung-il and employees.

The Hometown Love Donation System allows individuals to donate up to 5 million KRW to any local government nationwide except for their registered residential address, practicing hometown love. In return, donors receive a full tax deduction on the donation amount and gifts equivalent to 30% of the donation.


Accordingly, Gwangju Bank conducted the campaign to raise employees' interest in the Hometown Love Donation System and to spread participation, delivering the message, "Let’s participate first in the Hometown Love Donation System that shares through donations and multiplies through gifts, promote it, and actively spread it," appealing for active involvement.


Gwangju Bank President Ko Byung-il said, “The Hometown Love Donation System, which has recently become a major issue in various local governments, is expected to greatly contribute to revitalizing the regional economy. Therefore, as a leading regional bank driving mutual growth with the community, the interest and participation of employees are urgently needed to take the lead in activating the Hometown Love Donation System.” He added, “I hope the purpose and content of this campaign will be widely shared not only among employees but also with local residents and customers, leading to expanded participation in the Hometown Love Donation System.”
