Daegu City, 7 Districts and Counties Senior Club Agreement
Creating Jobs for Seniors, Guidance and Environmental Cleanup
Over 500 senior citizens will serve as helpers at bus stops throughout Daegu city this year.
The Daegu Public Facilities Management Corporation (Chairman Moon Gibong) signed a business agreement on the 3rd with senior clubs from seven districts and counties in Daegu to carry out bus stop environmental cleanup activities and create jobs for seniors.
This project aims to create jobs for seniors while improving the cleanliness of bus stops. The agreement was made between the corporation and the senior clubs of Jung-gu, Dong-gu, Seo-gu, Buk-gu, Suseong-gu, Dalseo-gu, and Dalseong-gun.
From March to December, over 500 local seniors will participate in the bus stop helper project.
Daegu Public Facilities Management Corporation is signing a business agreement with Daegu Senior Clubs for the bus stop assistant project.
Seniors hired as bus stop helpers in 2023 will be responsible for tasks such as △cleaning bus stops △removing illegal postings △providing bus route information △maintaining order and preventing safety accidents.
Chairman Moon Gibong of the corporation said, “Increasing jobs for seniors while receiving significant help in managing bus stops brings great benefits,” and added, “We will work harder to encourage more seniors to participate in the bus stop helper project.”
