Prosecutor Im Eun-jung, Interview on Kim Eo-jun's News Factory
"Received a Call Confirming Eligibility and Held a Celebration Party"
"Hello? Even if the factory manager is fired, Im Eun-jeong will not be fired. I am Im Eun-jeong, the phoenix of the prosecution."
Im Eun-jeong, the chief prosecutor of Daegu District Prosecutors' Office, appeared on the January 3rd episode of 'Kim Eo-jun's Humility is Difficult News Factory' and shared her feelings about passing the Ministry of Justice's 'Prosecutor Qualification Review Committee.' While there were views that this was a move to force her out of her prosecutor position as she is known as a whistleblower within the prosecution, she received a qualification notification.
Im Eun-jeong explained, "The day before yesterday, I was having a meal with special defense attorneys when I received a phone call notifying me of my qualification, and the meal turned into a celebration party."

Im Eun-jeong said she had planned to file a recusation if someone she had previously reported internally was appointed as a committee member. She also counterattacked by mentioning the past records of the review committee members.
Im Eun-jeong also shared the process leading up to receiving the qualification decision. She said, "On January 3rd, when I went to the prosecutor's office, I was notified that I was subject to an in-depth review and was told to undergo psychological testing." She then questioned, "They might think I look strange in front of weird people, but the strange ones are not me, it's them."
Im Eun-jeong explained, "I went to take the test, and suddenly they made me do mental arithmetic and match pictures. At my age, I’m not suffering from dementia, so I was a bit upset and took the test half-heartedly, but it turned out to be an IQ test."
She added, "At my age, they kept making me do mental arithmetic, and I was wondering why they kept making me do it. I was a bit angry, but if I had known it was an IQ test, I would have tried a little harder."
When asked about her IQ results, Im Eun-jeong responded, "Still, I probably scored higher than the prosecutors who drink every day."
Regarding her future plans, Im Eun-jeong said the following.
