The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will select 617 new local government officials this year through open and career competitive recruitment exams.
On the 3rd, the Office of Education announced that it plans to select 21 candidates through the 1st career competitive recruitment exam announced last February, 576 candidates through the 2nd open competitive recruitment exam, and 20 candidates through the 3rd career competitive recruitment exam.
The 2nd open competition includes the following by job category: ▲ Educational Administration 535 (General 477, Disabled 45, Low-income 13) ▲ Computer Science 9 ▲ Engineering 7 (General Mechanical 4, General Electrical 3) ▲ Health 5 ▲ Food Hygiene 4 ▲ Facilities 14 (General Civil Engineering 1, Architecture 13) ▲ Records Research (Researcher) 2.
Applications will be accepted from April 10 to 14, and the written exam will be held on June 10. The final successful candidates will be announced on September 4.
The 3rd career competitive exam targets graduates (or expected graduates) from specialized high schools or Meister high schools within the province, selecting 20 candidates: 8 in Engineering (General Mechanical 5, General Electrical 3) and 12 in Facilities (General Civil Engineering 1, Architecture 11).
Applications will be accepted from August 21 to 25, and applicants must be recommended by their school principal to be eligible. The written exam will be conducted on October 28, and the final successful candidates will be announced on December 20.
The eligibility criteria for the career competitive recruitment exam for specialized or Meister high school graduates have changed; only those whose period between graduation date and the final (interview) exam date is within one year can apply.
The restriction on the number of recommended candidates per job category per school has been lifted to expand application opportunities.
Additionally, in the Records Research category, the limitation period for recognizing the Korean History Proficiency Test scores, which substitute for the Korean History subject, has been removed. Applicants are advised to carefully check the announcement and detailed guidelines due to these and other changes.
Applications must be submitted during the designated period for each exam through the Office of Education’s NAIS online recruitment system (edurecruit.goe.go.kr).
Details on the exam schedules and major information can be found on the Office of Education’s website (goe.go.kr) under Exam Information (Personnel/Recruitment/Exams → Exam Information).
