Hwasun-gun 'Pledge to Practice Not Using Disposable Products' Ceremony

One Step Forward in Public Institutions Avoiding Single-Use Products

On the 2nd, Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 3rd that it held a 'Pledge to Practice Not Using Disposable Products' ceremony during the regular March assembly.

The ceremony was held with the attendance of all employees, including County Governor Gu Bok-gyu.

This pledge was part of the previously implemented 'Creating a Disposable Products ZERO Government Building' campaign, serving as an opportunity for Hwasun-gun public officials to voluntarily lead by example and refrain from using disposable products.

The pledge contents include ▲ restricting the introduction of disposable cups into the government building and using reusable cups or tumblers ▲ not using disposable PET bottles, plates, paper cups, etc., during various events and meetings ▲ prioritizing the purchase of recycled office supplies.

A county official stated, "The 'Challenge to Use Tumblers Instead of Disposable Cups' event has been ongoing since January, starting with Hwasun-gun and involving 34 departments and offices, 4 related organizations, and social groups. Along with pledging to practice not using disposable products, we will do our best to create a clean Hwasun."
