Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, held the 'Love Jang Sharing and Jang Making' event on the 3rd at the Agricultural Technology Center to support vulnerable groups in the area.
The Korea Lifestyle Improvement Association Yeongyang-gun Federation practices true love through the "Love Organ Sharing and Organ Making" event.
The Korea Life Improvement Yeongyang-gun Federation has been making jang filled with love since 2007, with members directly preparing the jang and aging it well in jars for a year. They then package the doenjang and soy sauce and personally deliver them to about 240 vulnerable households in the town and township areas, practicing warm-hearted love.
Every year, during the True Love Practice event, members visit households in need of love in the community, becoming companions to the elderly and sharing their concerns. This year, jang sharing was focused mainly on elderly men living alone.
Anguiyeong, president of the Korea Life Improvement Yeongyang-gun Federation, said, “I am pleased that the efforts of the Life Improvement members can be a driving force for sharing with our neighbors, and we will continue various volunteer activities with a more proactive attitude in the future.”
Lee Yunchil, director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, “I thank the Life Improvement members who demonstrated true love practice for sharing love with neighbors in these difficult times, and I hope that their warm affection is conveyed to the elderly living alone in the area.”
