The police rescued a woman in her 30s who had been lying alone in her home for over 10 days.
On the 3rd, the Seoul Gwanak Police Station announced that they rescued Ms. A, a woman in her 30s who had collapsed due to paralysis symptoms, after 12 days, on the previous day.
The police received a report from Ms. A's father at 10:48 a.m. the previous day, stating, "My daughter has not been in contact since the day before yesterday," which was transferred from the Asan Police Station in Chungnam, and dispatched the Dangok Police Substation.
Ms. A, the daughter, lived apart from her family residing in Chungnam in Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu. Checking the location of Ms. A's mobile phone showed it was near her residence, and the phone was last turned off around the 21st of last month.
Considering the circumstances, the police believed the daughter was at her residence, so they forcibly opened the door with a joint response from the fire department and entered, finding Ms. A collapsed in front of the kitchen sink. At the time of rescue, Ms. A was conscious and able to communicate. The police promptly transported Ms. A to the hospital and informed her father of the rescue.
Ms. A reported that around the 19th of last month, while watching TV, her left arm went numb, and while going to the bathroom, she suddenly felt dizzy and collapsed, unable to eat anything until she was rescued.
