Trial Operation Every Saturday and Sunday Until April 30
Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do, will pilot a healing program every Saturday and Sunday from the 4th of this month to the 30th of next month at the Marine Culture Healing Center.
According to the county on the 3rd, the Marine Culture Healing Center was built in Sinji Myeongsaship-ri and is composed of healing program experience spaces utilizing the five human senses (sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch) and Wando resources.

There are a total of four buildings: the audiovisual building offers media art, the olfactory building runs aroma classes, the gustatory building provides cooking classes, and the tactile building operates pottery classes.
The program runs twice a day for two hours each on Saturdays and Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The program is open to local residents and tourists alike, and participation is free of charge.
Registration can be made in advance or on-site if the number of participants is low.

Meanwhile, the Marine Culture Healing Center was piloted from September to December last year, with a total of 614 participants. It was temporarily closed from January to February for landscaping and facility maintenance and has now reopened.
A county official stated, “We will strive to operate programs so that many people can have a healing time satisfying their five senses at the Marine Culture Healing Center and heal their mind and body through marine healing.” He added, “With the Marine Culture Healing Center and the pilot operation of the Marine Healing Center starting in May, we expect marine healing to become more active.”
