A Total of 5 Events Scheduled This Year

Since its inception in 2015, the 'Saturday Concert,' established as the museum's representative cultural performance, has been planned to provide citizens with access to culture and arts. Opera singer Professor Seo Hye-yeon (Department of Vocal Music, Seoul National University) is in charge of planning and commentary, and the concert has captivated audiences with high-quality performances featuring top-tier domestic musicians.

Starting with the first performance in March, 'Ode to Spring,' a total of five concerts are planned this year on the first Saturdays of March-April, July, and November-December. The program will offer a variety of carefully prepared performances, including not only classical music but also Korean traditional music and opera, to engage citizens.

All performances are free, and any citizen who wishes to attend can enjoy them freely. Detailed information about the events can be found on the Seoul Metropolitan Government website and the Seoul Museum of History website.

Kim Yong-seok, Director of the Seoul Museum of History, said, “At the Museum Saturday Concert, anyone can comfortably experience high-quality classical performances in an open space. As spring returns, we hope everyone enjoys leisure in daily life along with culture and the arts.”
