Noh Yeonhong Appointed as Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Bio Association: "We Will Open a Sustainable Future"

"The Association is the Control Tower for Industry Growth"

No Yeonhong, former Commissioner of the Korea Food and Drug Administration, has taken office as the 22nd President of the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association and begun his duties.

The association announced that President Noh held an inauguration ceremony on the 2nd at the auditorium of the Pharmaceutical Hall in Bangbae-dong, Seoul, attended by association executives and staff, officially commencing his work.

In his inaugural speech, President Noh emphasized, "The association is the control tower that promotes the quantitative and qualitative growth of our pharmaceutical and bio industry," adding, "By maximizing the synergy effect of the digitalization and pharmaceutical and bio capabilities that our country has proactively accumulated, let us lead the changes in the domestic and international industrial environment and open a sustainable future for the industry."

He continued, "Together with member companies, I will continuously communicate and think intensely, striving with continuous innovation and cooperation to achieve the goal of establishing pharmaceutical sovereignty and realizing a strong pharmaceutical nation."

On the 28th of last month, President Noh attended the 'Bio and Health New Market Creation Strategy Meeting' presided over by President Yoon Seok-yeol as a representative of the pharmaceutical and bio industry. On the morning of the same day, he also attended the 'Korea Job Fair' held at the aT Center Exhibition Hall 1 in Yangjae-dong, Seoul, hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and others, as a guest along with Prime Minister Han Duck-soo and others.

President Noh passed the 27th Administrative Examination and served as Director of the Health Insurance Benefits Division and Director of the Health and Medical Policy Headquarters at the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Health and Welfare Secretary at the Presidential Office, Commissioner of the Korea Food and Drug Administration, and Senior Secretary for Employment and Welfare at the Presidential Office. Afterwards, he held positions such as Vice President of Gachon University, Chairman of the Drug Benefit Evaluation Committee at the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, and Advisor at Kim & Chang Law Firm.
