During the event, various global ICT company representatives, including Dennis Anthony Wee, CEO of Converge ICT Solutions, as well as NTT Docomo and Nokia, visited the KT exhibition hall. They confirmed KT’s next-generation network technology capabilities through 'Mobile Edge Computing (MEC)' technology and 'Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS)' technology for improving network quality.
Visitors to the KT exhibition showed great interest in KT’s core strategy aimed at building an 'AI full stack' through displays of the super-large AI 'Mideum', AI semiconductor manufacturing technology by Rebellion, and AI infrastructure solutions by More.
At MWC 2023, KT organized its exhibition hall into three theme zones: ▲DX Platform ▲DX Expansion ▲DX Technology Leadership. In the DX Platform zone, in addition to the super-large AI, KT exhibited AI technology-based mobility platforms such as 'LIS'FO', 'LIS'CO', and 'Brokarry', as well as 'Autonomous Driving (ATI)' technology enabling Level 5 autonomous driving.
In the DX Expansion zone, KT showcased financial and media content in collaboration with its group companies BC Card and Studio Genie, respectively. A metaverse experience space themed on virtual reality was set up to offer visitors opportunities to experience the 'Meta Lounge' and 'Geniverse' metaverse platforms. In the DX Technology Leadership zone, various KT robots attracted visitors’ attention. Robots roaming the exhibition included the robot integrated control platform 'Robot Makers', the 'Delivery Robot' equipped with a cold chain system for temperature and humidity control, and the 'Disinfection Robot' that autonomously moves around for sanitation.
Meanwhile, at MWC 2023, KT strengthened cooperation with global ICT companies by signing a strategic partnership with the Philippines’ Converge ICT Solutions for DX business development in the Philippines and discussing collaboration plans with Japan’s NTT Docomo to expand the Open RAN ecosystem.
Yang Yul-mo, KT’s Head of Public Relations (Executive Vice President), said, "At MWC 2023, KT showcased innovative DX technologies and services based on AI, big data, and cloud, imprinting DigiCo KT’s competitiveness on the global stage. Going forward, KT will continue to strive for DX in other industries and lead the digital era."
