Opened the 1st Branch at COEX Mall Earlier This Year

Feels Like Trinity CC Has Been Relocated
On the afternoon of the 2nd, I visited the premium golf practice facility ‘TGX Golf 1st Branch,’ which has been called Vice Chairman Chung Yong-jin of Shinsegae Group’s ambitious project and attracted much attention even before its opening. Located on the B2 floor of COEX Mall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, TGX exuded a luxurious atmosphere from its exterior. The store applied white, gold, and low-saturation beige colors, creating a simple yet upscale look. Especially, the artificial reeds visible through the glass entrance gave the impression of bringing a golf course indoors.
As I toured the store, I found that all the facilities needed for golf practice were in place. Combining the Academy Zone (337 pyeong) and the Studio Zone (270 pyeong), the total area reached 607 pyeong (2006㎡). The store was equipped with amenities such as a lounge with premium massage chairs, a business room with laptops, and phone booths for work-related calls. Each hitting bay was furnished with shoe care devices and stylers. The back service starting from the parking lot and the concierge service made one feel as if being treated at a luxury hotel.
Passing the Titleist store located at the entrance of the Academy Zone and moving inside, a spacious area with 21 hitting bays caught my eye. There were 19 right-handed bays, 2 bays for both left- and right-handed players, and 3 private bays enclosed by walls at the front and back. Stepping onto the teeing ground, I felt a soft air cushion instead of a hard carpet, as if stepping on real grass. Touching it, the roots were stiff, closely resembling golf course turf.
Kang Deok-won, TGX branch manager, explained, "TGX focuses on providing customers with an environment most similar to an actual field for practice. The auto tee-up system operates by default, but if desired, customers can insert their own tees and practice."

Guided by Manager Kang, I moved to the Studio Zone just a minute away. The Studio Zone featured the country’s first virtual green technology that allows adjustment of ground slope, a putting practice area, three room bays equipped with TrackMan, and one studio for filming.
Entering Room A, closest to the entrance, a golf course panorama photo filled one wall behind a cream-colored sofa. The magnificent view, featuring tall pine trees, a pond, and red reeds, was a faithful reproduction of the actual scenery of ‘Trinity CC,’ operated by Shinsegae Construction. The bay had a patch labeled ‘Hole 14 (PAR 5),’ suggesting that the view replicated the actual teeing ground.
Manager Kang said, "Rooms A to C are designed to allow guests to enjoy the views of Trinity CC’s signature holes 14, 13, and 16. You can experience the scenery of Trinity CC, considered the most luxurious golf course in Korea, and choose from over 200 famous overseas courses to enjoy a game."
