Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited Dohwa-dong Community Center late in the evening on the 28th to conduct a crackdown and eradication campaign on illegal advertisements.

Despite previous crackdowns, complaints have arisen regarding the mass distribution of illegal flyers for entertainment establishments such as "Shirt Room" starting around schools and spreading throughout Mapo. To address this, he personally conducted an on-site inspection.

On this day, led by Mayor Park Gang-su, a joint inspection team of about 30 people, including officials from related departments and police personnel such as the head of the Life Safety Division of Mapo Police Station, patrolled the areas from Dohwa-gil to Mapo Food Culture Street, focusing on regions with concentrated illegal flyer distribution, conducting guidance and crackdowns on advertisements.

Mayor Park Gang-su, together with the joint inspection team, directly attached warning notices and removed illegal advertisements found on-site, and personally removed illegal "Shirt Room" advertisement stickers attached to various facilities by hand.

At the site, Mayor Park said, "Since we have been consistently guiding against new and variant youth-harmful establishments and illegal advertisements, from now on, the district will strongly enforce crackdowns through fines and legal actions," adding, "The district and police must unite to lead the way in creating a safe and pleasant walking environment for all residents."

Meanwhile, the district plans to strengthen crackdowns on illegal advertisements, including Shirt Room flyers, focusing on the areas around Mapo Station and Hapjeong Station, which are habitual illegal flyer distribution zones, until the 17th of next month. Violators will be fined up to 5 million KRW and subject to legal action.
