Damyang-gun Launches 2nd Generation of Our Neighborhood Welfare Task Force

Leading Damyang with No Welfare Blind Spots through Residential Environment Improvement and Resolving Various Daily Inconveniences

Public-Private Partnership Agencies Sign Welfare Blind Spot Crisis Response Agreement

The 2nd team of the Our Neighborhood Welfare Task Force has been launched to create a Damyang without welfare blind spots, raising expectations for future activities.


On the 28th, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it held the launch ceremony for the 2nd team of the Our Neighborhood Welfare Task Force at the Dambit Agricultural Center.


The launch ceremony was attended by County Governor Lee Byeong-no, Damyang Police Station Chief Park Song-hee, Damyang Office of Education Superintendent Lee Sook, Damyang Fire Station Chief Park Sang-rae, Damyang Post Office Director Lee Jong-hee, Korea Electric Power Corporation Damyang Branch Manager Cheon Se-woong, Damyang County Welfare Foundation Chairperson Lee Jung-ok, and other private cooperation organizations, as well as town and township welfare task force captains and members, and about 200 public officials.

Damyang-gun Launches 2nd Generation of Our Neighborhood Welfare Task Force

The 2nd team of the Our Neighborhood Welfare Task Force consists of 13 units and 192 members, including public officials, village chiefs, and workers in electricity, gas, and housing facilities, who work to improve the living conditions of socially vulnerable groups in welfare blind spots and solve various problems encountered in daily life.


In addition, to strengthen joint response cooperation for discovering and supporting welfare blind spots, public-private cooperation organizations such as the Office of Education, Police Station, Fire Station, Post Office, Korea Electric Power Corporation, Welfare Foundation, Community Security Council, Volunteer Group Council, Village Chiefs Association, and Welfare Task Force have joined hands.


Going forward, they plan to combine their expertise in various fields such as crime, safety, fire, and care to build a welfare safety net.


On this day, the Damyang Fire Station Chief received a plaque of appreciation, expressing gratitude for the efforts of the 119 Life Safety Patrol as guardian angels of daily safety, proactively responding to the lives and crisis situations of the residents.


County Governor Lee Byeong-no said, “Since 2019, the Our Neighborhood Welfare Task Force has been a reliable support for neighbors who solve the difficulties of households in crisis at the forefront of the welfare field,” and added, “Please continue to take the lead in actively working to eliminate welfare blind spots.”
