Jeep announced on the 28th that it will unveil the brand's first pure electric sport utility vehicle (SUV), the 'Avenger,' for the first time in Asia in the Korean market.
Jeep aims to convey the brand's vision and commitment toward 'Zero Emission Freedom' targeting the rapidly electrifying Korean market. Additionally, to respond to the high interest of domestic customers in the brand's first pure electric vehicle (BEV), a special Avenger exhibition will be held for about two weeks from today until March 14 at seven dedicated Jeep showrooms nationwide.
The Avenger is Jeep's first pure electric SUV. It is the first model unveiled among the pure electric SUV lineup announced last March at Stellantis' long-term strategy presentation, 'Dare Forward 2030.'
Following a successful debut in the European market, where pre-orders exceeded 10,000 units within a month, the Avenger was selected as the '2023 European Car of the Year,' becoming the most recognized Jeep model in Europe. It is scheduled to be sequentially launched in key strategic markets such as Korea and Japan.
Accordingly, Jeep will conduct the 'Avenger Domestic Tour,' visiting seven dedicated Jeep showrooms so that domestic customers can get a close look at the Avenger in advance. The tour will start at the Guri Jeep showroom on the 28th and March 1st, followed by Uijeongbu, Cheongdam, Suwon, Daegu, Busan, and Gangseo.
During this period, customers visiting the showrooms can meet the Jeep Avenger, unveiled for the first time in Asia, and enjoy entertainment programs and catering prepared at each showroom. Various programs, including an urban off-road experience using an off-road module, will be offered at each showroom to expand customer experience opportunities.
Jake Aumann, President of Stellantis Korea, said, “We are very pleased to present the Avenger, which is currently receiving the most anticipation and attention, to Korean customers, coinciding with its award as the 2023 European Car of the Year,” adding, “We look forward to seeing the Avenger on Korean roads soon.”
