Strangled Wife to Death and Mutilated Body
Dumped in Garbage Bags and Abandoned in Park
The perpetrator who killed a 46-year-old woman whose body was mutilated and abandoned in Paris, France, was identified as her husband (50).
According to the daily newspaper Le Parisien and AFP on the 27th (local time), the police arrested Yusef on charges of strangling his wife to death at their home in Montreuil, on the outskirts of Paris, on the 30th of last month, mutilating the body in the kitchen, placing it in a garbage bag, and abandoning it in a park.
Yusef confessed that he committed the crime impulsively after an argument with his wife and stated that he did not intend to kill her.
It is known that Yusef took a bus to a park about 6 to 7 km away from their home, carrying the bag containing the body inside a wheeled basket usually used for grocery shopping.
The day after the crime, Yusef began posting on social media (SNS) that his wife had disappeared, and on February 3rd, he personally reported to the police that his wife was missing.
Ten days later, an employee at Buttes-Chaumont Park in the 19th arrondissement of Paris discovered part of the body, prompting the police to start an investigation, and the next day, they found other parts including the head.
Yusef is originally from Algeria and had been unemployed for some time. He married his wife 26 years ago and they have three children aged 8, 14, and 16.
