Hanam-si Recognized as an Excellent Institution for Two Consecutive Years in Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation Contributions

Hanam City in Gyeonggi Province has been selected as an excellent city/county for contributions to the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation for two consecutive years.

On the 27th, the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation announced that it presented a plaque of appreciation to Hanam Mayor Lee Hyun-jae at Hanam City Hall for his efforts to expand contributions to revitalize the local economy.

Hanam City took the lead in providing special guarantee fund support for small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners in the area who have been experiencing management difficulties due to the prolonged spread of COVID-19 and inflation.

Hanam City contributed 2.4 billion KRW in 2021 and 3.9 billion KRW in 2022 as special guarantee contributions.

Using these contributions as resources, the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation supported more than 192.3 billion KRW in special guarantee funds to small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners in the Hanam area as of the end of last year.

Mayor Lee Hyun-jae of Hanam said, "Hanam City is sincerely striving to restore vitality to the local economy through the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation's special guarantees, expanding the scale of loan projects from the Small and Medium Business Development Fund, providing online marketing strategy education for small business owners, and expanding the issuance of local currency." He added, "We will continue to do our best to become a 'city where people want to live and a thriving Hanam' together with the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation."

Si Seok-jung, Chairman of the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, expressed his gratitude, saying, "We thank Hanam City for their warm interest in securing contributions for the local economy." He highly praised, "Thanks to Hanam City's cooperation, the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation has been able to serve as a safety net for local companies facing financial difficulties such as the loan cliff."

Meanwhile, Chairman Si has begun meetings with the heads of 31 basic local governments in the province regarding contributions to the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation. This schedule was arranged to promote resident-centered and field-centered support policies based on organic cooperation with the local community.
