Honda Classic Winner Kirk Rises to World Ranking 32

On the weekly men's golf world ranking announced on the 27th, Kirk rose to 32nd place with a rating of 2.4898 points. He climbed 15 spots from 47th place last week.

He claimed the top spot at the PGA Tour Honda Classic (total prize money $8.4 million), which concluded on the PGA National Champion Course (par 70) in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, USA, that morning. After finishing tied with Eric Cole (USA) at 14 under par 266, he secured victory by making a birdie on the first hole of the playoff. This marked his 5th career win, his first in 7 years and 9 months since the Crown Plaza Invitational in May 2015.

Ahn Byung-hoon, who finished 21st in this tournament, rose 9 spots to 190th in the world rankings. Charles Howell III (USA), who won the opening event of the new LIV Golf season, did not receive world ranking points and dropped from 301st to 312th place last week.

Besides that, the top rankings remained unchanged with Jon Rahm (Spain) at number 1, Scottie Scheffler (USA) at number 2, Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) at number 3, Patrick Cantlay (USA) at number 4, and Cameron Smith (Australia) at number 5. Korean players Kim Joo-hyung (21) and Im Sung-jae (25) also held their positions at 15th and 18th respectively.
