Openmile, which has achieved 100% growth every year over the past three years through vehicle management and logistics services, is entering the vehicle management platform market.
On the 27th, Openmile announced that it will launch ‘Openmile Members,’ the only subscription-based commercial vehicle management platform in Korea, by combining its existing business know-how and network.
In the case of existing commercial vehicles, represented by 1-ton trucks, the vehicle owner and driver are different, and due to the nature of logistics work, vehicle management was inevitably neglected because of time constraints during travel. As a result, drivers were directly exposed to risks such as minor vehicle breakdowns and accidents, which was also a concern for the vehicle owners.
‘Openmile Members’ is a comprehensive vehicle management platform service that combines ‘vehicle monitoring technology’ and ‘on-site patrol maintenance’ expertise in the commercial vehicle market to check the vehicle’s condition in real time and quickly identify necessary services, helping freight vehicle owners save time and costs. After drivers join the Openmile Members app, when they request services such as tire replacement, engine oil change, or emergency dispatch through the app, the Openmile patrol maintenance team responds immediately.
Openmile expects that Openmile Members, the ‘smart vehicle management platform,’ will play a significant role in ▲real-time vehicle monitoring through the platform ▲reasonable vehicle management costs ▲solving maintenance time and location issues through on-site services ▲systematic pre-safety management for vehicle owners. Additionally, by constantly monitoring vehicle conditions and timely replacing necessary consumables through the Openmile Members platform, it is expected to ensure public safety and extend the vehicle’s lifespan.
Park Kyunghyun, CEO of Openmile, said, “There was no proper care program for 1-ton truck drivers, who are the core of the logistics industry and key partners of Openmile,” adding, “We will launch a monthly subscription product with various service options to reduce the short-term cost burden for commercial vehicle drivers and become a friendly vehicle management assistant that helps them focus more on their business.”
Openmile Members will start with vehicle management services and plans to expand customized services such as financial benefits when purchasing vehicles, job information sharing, and driver communities in the future.
