[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Wanyong] Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 27th that it held an activity report meeting on the 24th to share the achievements of the 'LH Mentor and Little Friends' child mentoring program.
The LH Mentor and Little Friends program began in 2007 and matches children and adolescents living in LH rental housing with university students on a one-on-one basis to support various educational and cultural experiences. LH recruits about 200 mentors and mentees annually, providing scholarships, learning materials, and activity expenses.

The report meeting was attended by 98 university student mentors, as well as Shin Honggil, Head of LH Housing Services Division, and Kim Byunggi, Director of the Children and Future Foundation Headquarters.
LH presented certificates of completion and scholarships to university students who completed the mentoring activities and awarded 20 university students who actively participated as outstanding mentors. Outstanding mentors also shared their activity cases, fostering camaraderie and information exchange among mentors.
Shin Honggil, Head of Housing Services Division, said, “I hope the LH Mentor and Little Friends child mentoring activities will be remembered as valuable experiences for university students and youth living in rental housing,” adding, “We plan to recruit 200 mentors and mentees again next month.”
