Start of Corporate Culture Innovation Program
Visit to Popular Restaurants Followed by a Walk on the Forest Trail
Hanyang Securities has recently embarked on corporate culture innovation, receiving positive evaluations from its employees.
On the 27th, Hanyang Securities announced that it had launched a city tour program for its employees. Although only 15 participants were recruited, numerous internal applicants applied.
The city tour program was named "Masil," an abbreviation of "Hanyang-gil-e Maeum-eul Silda," meaning "Putting Heart on Hanyang Road." It consists of visiting popular restaurants and exploring major landmarks in Seoul.
The first area for Masil was the Gyeongui Line Forest Trail. The Gyeongui Line Forest Trail is a space reborn as a cultural walking path from the Gyeongui Line railway that once ran through the Korean Peninsula from north to south. A 6.3 km forest trail stretches from Gajwa Station in Mapo-gu to Hyochang-dong in Yongsan-gu. Although located in the heart of Seoul, it is a place where 110 years of history breathe.
The reason Hanyang Securities chose the Gyeongui Line Forest Trail as the first location for Masil aligns with this context. The purpose is for members spanning generations from those born in 1958 to those born in 2004 to walk together through this historic space, fostering communication and learning. CEO Lim Jae-taek and 15 other employees explored various landmarks such as popular restaurants located along the Gyeongui Line Forest Trail, the art village beside the railway, and Ttaengttaenggeori, exchanging diverse knowledge and information.
The successful city tour by Hanyang Securities is part of the family programs "Ttwillak" and "Santa." At the end of last year, Hanyang Securities launched a running program called Ttwillak for its employees. It is a 10 km short marathon program running to and from Dongjak Bridge. The headquarters is optimally located just a 5-minute walk from Yeouido Hangang Park. Ttwillak means "running" in the Jeju dialect.
CEO Lim Jae-taek came up with the familiar running card after considering outdoor activities that employees could voluntarily enjoy. To increase focus, the number of participants was limited to 15 per session. Participants were also provided with running gear such as commemorative T-shirts purchased before the start. The purpose was to enhance unity and motivation to participate through these goods.
Besides the city tour and running, Hanyang Securities also offers a trekking program called "Santa," which visits major mountains in Korea. Although Hanyang Securities' corporate culture programs such as walking tours, running, and hiking differ in form and nature, they share a common goal: "learning through experience."
CEO Lim Jae-taek said, "The excitement brought by unique corporate culture programs is the driving force that maintains Hanyang Securities' dynamism."
