Haitai Confectionery announced on the 27th that it will launch the premium Oyes 'Seven Berries,' made with healthy, high-quality ingredients.
Oyes Seven Berries is the first premium season edition, a luxury cake made with seven types of berries, which are representative superfoods, and rich dark chocolate with a high cocoa content. It captures the moistness of the original Oyes along with a unique seasonal flavor. Only 4 million units will be produced in a limited run over three months starting this month, allowing it to be enjoyed only during this spring season.
True to its premium cake status, the name Seven Berries comes from the inclusion of seven types of berries (strawberry, blueberry, cranberry, raspberry, blackberry, blackcurrant, and acai berry). Over 400 varieties of berries worldwide were carefully selected based on health and quality standards. One distinctive feature is that high-quality berries are incorporated during the dough stage, making the cake sheet itself a super berry sheet. Unlike methods using jam or cream, this required over six months of research and development. Fresh fruit pulp was concentrated immediately by removing only the moisture, preserving both the rich aroma and nutritional content. The thick chocolate coating surrounding the cake is dark chocolate with about twice the cocoa content. To harmonize the flavors of chocolate and super berries, the ingredient ratio was increased, resulting in a 7% increase in the weight per piece.
A Haitai Confectionery representative said, "This premium Oyes is made with the finest ingredients, ensuring not only great taste but also health, making it a luxury product," and added, "We plan to continue introducing high-quality premium season editions made with the best and freshest seasonal ingredients."
