Cosmetics platform company CTK announced on the 27th that it has launched a small-quantity cosmetics production service called ‘MOQ 1000’ on its B2B beauty platform, CTK Clip.
CTK Clip’s small-quantity cosmetics production service MOQ 1000 allows orders for 1,000 finished products and 10,000 samples. The service features an easy and fast online process for cosmetics planning and production. Customers can customize cosmetics by selecting desired formulations and containers on the small-quantity production service page within CTK Clip. They can also easily and quickly request quotes, sample orders, contract signing, payment, production, and domestic and international shipping online, while checking the progress status.
Choi Chi-ho, Vice President of CTK, explained the purpose of the service: “Typically, cosmetics production requires minimum order quantities of 5,000 to 10,000 finished products or 50,000 to 100,000 samples. This can be a significant burden for startup brands or individual entrepreneurs. Therefore, CTK aimed to create a new service that lowers the entry barrier to the beauty market for customers and maximizes project participation opportunities for manufacturing partners, enabling mutual win-win success in line with the company’s core value of ‘co-success with customers and partners.’”
Vice President Choi emphasized, “CTK’s MOQ 1000 service not only enables small-scale production of 1,000 finished products but also allows sample production using the leftover bulk after filling the main products. It is very economical and practical because it produces the minimum quantity of finished products needed for launch while simultaneously producing samples that can be used for various promotions. This is an incubating service that provides more opportunities and growth support for new cosmetics brands, and it is also a smart service that can serve as a good business strategy for major beauty companies by allowing market testing through small-scale production before choosing mass production or rapid strategic adjustments.”
Before the official launch of the service, CTK participated in the global beauty expo Make up in LA held in Los Angeles, USA, on the 16th and 17th, where it first introduced the MOQ 1000 service and received significant interest from visitors. The booth was set up under the theme of “an online market providing shopping therapy for beauty business,” allowing visitors to use various CTK Clip services via kiosks and tablet PCs. Visitors related to small salons, clinics, and retailers showed great interest in the newly introduced MOQ 1000 service.
CTK plans to further enhance CTK Clip, a B2B beauty platform that provides all beauty-related services from branding to product development, production, and logistics, throughout this year. In addition to this small-quantity production service, CTK will add various value-added services tailored to client needs. The company is also preparing a B2B management site where partner manufacturers can directly upload and manage new product information on formulations and containers, enabling faster and more extensive updates on the platform.
