At around 11:55 a.m. on the 26th, a fire broke out in a mountain area near Seoseok-myeon, Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon Province.
Forestry authorities have deployed about 90 firefighting personnel and 2 helicopters to extinguish the fire.
The Gangwon Province Wildfire Prevention Headquarters stated, "There is no wind at the wildfire site, so it is not expected to spread significantly," and added, "We are making every effort to extinguish the fire quickly."
