Gwangju Seo-gu Saemaeul Library Distributes Taegeukgi Flags for March 1st Movement Day

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Members of the Saemaeul Library in Hwajeong 1-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, held a free Taegeukgi distribution event ahead of the March 1st Movement Day.


On the 26th, about 20 Saemaeul Library members announced that they distributed around 100 home-use Taegeukgi flags to residents in commemoration of the upcoming March 1st Movement Day.


They also conducted promotional activities encouraging households to display the Taegeukgi flag.

In addition to this Taegeukgi flag campaign, Saemaeul Library members are engaged in various community service activities, such as providing scholarships to children in care households in the village and giving gifts on Children's Day and traditional holidays.


Chairperson Kim Ok-ja said, "Displaying the Taegeukgi on the day when the nation's independence was declared to the world is a small act of patriotism," adding, "We will continue the Taegeukgi distribution campaign on national holidays such as Liberation Day."
