Jeon Gyeong-seon, Vice Chairman of Jeonnam Provincial Council, Inaugurated as President of Jaemok Sinan-gun Hometown Association

"I Will Be a Chairman Who Cares and Communicates for Harmony"

Jeon Gyeong-seon, Vice Chairman of the Jeonnam Provincial Council, was inaugurated as the 15th president of the Jaemok Sinan-gun Hometown Association at the 'Jaemok Sinan-gun Hometown Association President Handover Ceremony' held on the afternoon of the 24th at the Mokpo Sinan Beach Hotel.

The event, jointly held with the Women's President Handover Ceremony, was further honored by congratulatory speeches from National Assembly members Seo Sam-seok (Sinan, Muan, Yeongam) and Kim Won-i (Mokpo), Park Woo-ryang, Sinan County Governor, and Park Hong-ryul, Mayor of Mokpo.


About 2,000 people attended the event, including fellow members of the Jeonnam Provincial Council and hometown association members from 14 towns and townships of Sinan-gun, making it a great success.


The handover ceremony proceeded in the following order: ▲Opening declaration ▲Farewell address ▲Inaugural address ▲Congratulatory speeches ▲Introduction of new executives.


The Jaemok Sinan-gun Hometown Association is composed of a total of 19 organizations, including hometown associations from 14 towns and townships and 5 clubs. Although events had been completely suspended due to the spread of COVID-19, the inauguration ceremony aims to accelerate member revitalization.


Vice Chairman Jeon Gyeong-seon stated, “The Jaemok Sinan-gun Hometown Association has quietly worked behind the scenes for the development of the nation and the Jeonnam local community.” He expressed gratitude for the passion and participation of the members and pledged to be a considerate and communicative president for the unity of the hometown association.


He continued, “Sinan and Mokpo are connected by one root. Just as the 1,004 islands have protected Sinan, I will work closely with the members during my term as president of the hometown association.” He promised, “I will prioritize the greater cause over personal thoughts and do my best with a sense of responsibility.”
