Kolon Global recorded its highest-ever performance in sales, net profit, and order backlog last year despite a challenging business environment.
According to Kolon Global's consolidated cumulative results disclosed last year, sales increased by 3.2% year-on-year to 4.9009 trillion KRW, while operating profit decreased by 10.4% during the same period to 216.5 billion KRW. Net profit rose by 3.6% from the previous year to 141.8 billion KRW.
Sales surpassed the previous record set in 2021 once again. Although operating profit declined due to factors such as rising raw material costs, net profit achieved a record high despite external economic uncertainties.
Kolon Global's construction division posted consolidated cumulative sales of 2.1045 trillion KRW and operating profit of 157.4 billion KRW in 2022. New orders last year reached a record high of 3.6569 trillion KRW (housing and architecture 2.7565 trillion KRW, infrastructure 900.4 billion KRW), exceeding the annual target of 3.57 trillion KRW. The strong performance was driven by securing a total of 13 urban redevelopment projects worth 1.4004 trillion KRW last year.
By project type, redevelopment accounted for 2 projects (361 billion KRW), remodeling 1 project (377.9 billion KRW), small-scale reconstruction 2 projects (155.7 billion KRW), and street housing maintenance projects 8 projects (505.7 billion KRW). Kolon Global's order backlog reached an all-time high of 11.2 trillion KRW, more than five times the construction division's 2022 sales.
The trading division recorded sales of 389.8 billion KRW and operating profit of 400 million KRW. Subsidiaries posted sales of 503.8 billion KRW and operating profit of 3.7 billion KRW.
