On the 25th, according to the police, the National Forensic Service (NFS) recently notified the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Narcotics Crime Investigation Unit of the detailed hair analysis results.

Earlier, on the 5th, the police executed a body search warrant for Yoo Ah-in at Incheon International Airport. At that time, a simple urine test showed a positive reaction for marijuana, and a detailed analysis was requested from the NFS. Subsequently, marijuana, propofol, and another drug substance were detected in the hair. The detailed hair analysis can confirm drug use for up to one year depending on the length of the hair.

The police launched an investigation following the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety's findings that Yoo had habitually been prescribed propofol, a general anesthetic known as the so-called 'milk injection,' for non-medical purposes. Based on the Ministry's investigation request, the police believe Yoo received propofol at multiple hospitals since early 2021, and conducted raids on several clinics and hospitals, including plastic surgery clinics in Gangnam and Yongsan districts of Seoul on the 8th and 9th, securing medical records.

With the completion of the NFS's drug analysis, the police plan to summon Yoo as a suspect under the Narcotics Control Act to investigate the circumstances of his drug use.
