Gyeongnam Office of Education Significantly Reduces Accounting Documents with Electronic Evidence

Distribution of Electronic Documentation and Expenditure-Revenue Operations Manual

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The Gyeongnam Office of Education announced on the 23rd that it will strengthen support for accounting tasks starting March 1, the beginning of the 2023 school fiscal year.

The provincial Office of Education plans to link information between the education office's work system, 'K-Edufine,' and 15 credit card companies to utilize electronic supporting documents.

According to the provincial Office of Education, until now, when faculty and staff used corporate cards, they had to submit receipts issued at restaurants or stationery stores directly to the administrative office, but from now on, they can simply submit electronic credit card sales slips.

Following the basic guidelines for school accounting budget formulation issued last December, a 2023 school accounting expenditure and revenue operations manual will also be produced and distributed to schools.

The manual newly includes a 'School Accounting Q&A' section containing 69 items related to expenditures and 41 items related to revenues.

It records the changed standards for executing school accounting expenditure budgets and revenue standards to support the entire accounting processing procedure.

Policy Planning Officer Lee Kyung-gu said, "We will do our best to improve the school accounting system to increase work efficiency and create an operations manual tailored to the faculty and staff's perspective to reduce difficulties in the field."
