[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Housing Corporation (iH) announced on the 23rd that it will supply a total of 573 units of permanent rental housing and 10-year lease-to-own public rental housing in Sibjeong-dong, Bupyeong-gu, and Songnim-dong, Dong-gu.
The supply targets are a total of 573 households within two complexes, 'The Sharp Bupyeong Central City' and 'Dongincheon Station Park Prugio' (295 permanent rental units, 278 10-year public rental units), designed with floor areas ranging from 18㎡ to 39㎡, which are highly preferred by single-person and two-person households such as youth and newlyweds.
Both complexes were developed by iH through residential environment improvement projects. The Sharp Bupyeong Central City boasts the largest scale in Incheon with 5,678 households, while Dongincheon Station Park Prugio is a large complex with 2,562 households.
iH stated that both complexes offer excellent accessibility to all areas of Incheon and Seoul, as they are within walking distance of Dongam Station and Dongincheon Station on the Seoul Metropolitan Subway Line 1. Both complexes have been completed and are currently occupied.
Permanent rental housing allows housing-vulnerable groups such as the homeless, basic livelihood security recipients, national veterans, and single-parent families to reside for up to 50 years.
Additionally, the 10-year public rental housing allows homeless individuals and others to renew their lease contracts every two years, with the lease-to-own conversion occurring after the mandatory 10-year rental period, giving priority to current tenants.
Permanent rental housing tenants will be recruited through administrative welfare centers, while tenants for the 10-year public rental housing will be recruited via the CheongyakHome website.
