Please Keep the Speed Limit of 20 km/h!… BPA Conducts Surprise Inspection at Gamcheon Port

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan Port Authority (BPA) will conduct intensive speed enforcement until March to prevent accidents and reduce fine dust within Gamcheon Port wharf.

BPA plans to use speed guns to randomly check whether vehicles exceed the 20 km/h speed limit within the wharf.

Drivers caught speeding will receive a warning for the first violation, a caution for the second violation, and access to the wharf will be restricted upon the third violation.

Kang Jun-seok, President of BPA, said, “Gamcheon Port mainly handles seafood and steel products, and due to the narrow space with frequent movement of workers, vehicles, and equipment, there is a risk of accidents caused by speeding. We will proactively prevent speeding of vehicles entering the wharf to ensure a safe port environment.”
