Find Vernect with Industrial XR Technology

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced that Chairman Kim Hak-do visited Vurnect, an industrial extended reality (XR) solution specialist company located in Yongsan, Seoul, on the 22nd to listen to on-site difficulties.


XR is a technology encompassing VR (Virtual Reality), AR (Augmented Reality), and MR (Mixed Reality). This visit was arranged to explore policy support measures necessary for fostering innovative startups in new industries in line with the government's metaverse industry promotion policy and the expansion of the global XR market.

Founded in 2016, Vurnect develops industrial solutions based on XR technology and applies them to industrial sites of leading domestic companies including Korea Electric Power Corporation and GS Group. CEO Ha Tae-jin said, "Along with corporate growth, we will return the benefits received from society through ESG management such as industrial safety consulting and support activities for vulnerable groups to industrial accidents."


Chairman Kim said, "We will continue to support with various policy measures so that the innovation capabilities of small and medium ventures can be realized and core technology industries can be revitalized."
