Promoting Detailed and Careful Support for Small Business Owners

According to the county on the 22nd, amid the ongoing economic crisis such as high inflation and high interest rates, about 14.8 billion KRW of county funds have been allocated this year for supporting small business owners and revitalizing the economy, including the Haenam Love Gift Certificate budget.

First, based on a demand survey targeting local small business owners, the ‘Haenam-gun Special Guarantee 3-Type Support Project,’ which has been the most preferred for three consecutive years, will provide loan guarantees, interest subsidies, and guarantee fee support to help small business owners who have difficulty accessing institutional finance secure funding.

In addition, to ensure stable management of small business owners, recruitment for the small-scale store management improvement project and business succession and expansion project will take place in March, and support projects such as delivery fee subsidies, gift certificate merchant card fee subsidies, and online marketing promotion expenses will be promoted throughout the year.

The wind and flood insurance premium support project, which prepares for various natural disasters, is currently accepting applications, and the yellow umbrella mutual aid incentive support project to strengthen the management safety net will also be promoted.

Especially, starting this year, a new management consulting support project will be implemented that offers free online tax and labor education and consulting, and applications for education are currently being accepted on the Jeonnam Credit Guarantee Foundation website.

Additionally, detailed support to address the difficulties of small business owners will be provided, including support for revitalizing commercial districts, leasing fee support for electric two-wheelers produced in the province, and activation of the public delivery app ‘Meokkebi,’ which has almost no brokerage fees.

Each support project will accept applications after separate announcements, and applicants can apply within the period after checking the website and Haenam Sotong Net.

County Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan said, “I hope that the small business support projects will help ease the management burden even a little,” and added, “We plan to continue to discover and promote various support projects to protect small business owners and revitalize the local economy.”

Meanwhile, the Haenam Love Gift Certificate, which is actively promoted to prevent the outflow of local funds and revitalize the local economy, is targeted to issue 130 billion KRW this year.

Since its launch in April 2019, it has achieved a cumulative issuance of 499 billion KRW, sales of 470.3 billion KRW, and redemption of 459.5 billion KRW, becoming a strong pillar for local small business owners.

The county plans to actively promote various policies this year as well, including gift certificate discount events, introduction of mobile QR payments, and provision of incentives.
