Korea National Prayer Breakfast and Seohui Construction Donate 200 Million KRW for T?rkiye Recovery

[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] The Christian organization Korea National Breakfast Prayer Meeting Association and Seohui Construction Co., Ltd. each donated 100 million won, totaling 200 million won, to support the recovery and aid for victims of the severe damage caused by the earthquake in Turkiye. The Korea National Breakfast Prayer Meeting Association is led by Chairman Lee Bong-gwan of Seohui Construction.


The donation was delivered on the 21st to Salih Murat Tamer, the Ambassador of Turkiye to Korea, at the Turkiye Embassy in Korea.

The National Breakfast Prayer Meeting Association and Seohui Construction stated, "Although all citizens are facing difficulties due to the global economic crisis, we decided to donate funds as a meaningful act of practicing 'Jesus' love for neighbors' in sympathy with the pain and suffering of the Turkiye people and in hope of a swift recovery."


Ambassador Salih Murat Tamer expressed his gratitude, saying, "The helping hands will be of great assistance."


The National Breakfast Prayer Meeting Association holds an annual breakfast prayer meeting at the end of each year. Politicians including the president and Christian figures participate to pray for the nation and its people. The prayer meeting held last December was attended by President Yoon Suk-yeol and his wife.


Last year, the National Breakfast Prayer Meeting Association and Seohui Construction also each donated 100 million won to help victims of the Ukraine war, the Uljin wildfire, and flood victims in Seoul and Gyeongju.
