Skincare Oera, 90% of Customers Are 'Department Store VIPs'

Fashion specialist company Handsome announced on the 21st that the majority of customers who purchased Oera last year were department store VIP customers.


Analyzing the sales of Oera at Hyundai Department Store Apgujeong Main Branch, Trade Center Branch, and Pangyo Branch last year, Handsome found that the sales proportion of department store VIP customers reached 91.6%. This means that 9 out of 10 customers who purchased Oera products were department store VIP customers. In particular, the average purchase amount per VIP customer reached around 2 million KRW, which was about three times higher compared to competing brands.

Handsome analyzes that Oera's customer care strategy and premium quality competitiveness were the driving forces behind the purchases of department store VIP customers. It indicates that Oera has captured the hearts of VIP customers and established itself in the premium cosmetics market.


Starting from this, Handsome plans to accelerate the expansion of its product lineup and distribution channels this year. Last month, Oera introduced the Skin Touch Hydra Glow Sun Cushion with enhanced UV protection as its first new product of the year, and will sequentially release new Oera products such as whitening cream and sunscreen.


A Handsome representative said, “As Oera has been recognized by department store VIP customers and established its position in the premium skincare market, love calls for entry from major department stores continue,” adding, “We will nurture the brand to be comparable to famous overseas premium skincare brands in the future.”
