Farmers' Allowance Included with Direct Payment Application

Ulsan City announced on the 21st that it will provide the 'Ulsan-type Farmer's Allowance' from this year to stabilize the income of local farmers and attract returnees to farming.

The Farmer's Allowance to be provided this time is a pledge of the 8th elected administration and is the first to be implemented by a metropolitan city. The recipients are households residing in Ulsan City who actually cultivate land and receive the basic direct payment for realizing the public functions of agriculture.

The allowance is 600,000 KRW per household annually, and even if two or more members of the household registered on the resident registration are eligible, the allowance is paid to only one person per household.

Applications are divided into cases where the farmland location (jurisdiction of the basic direct payment) is in Ulsan and other cases. When applying for the direct payment in Ulsan, applicants can apply for both the direct payment and the Farmer's Allowance simultaneously at the Eup/Myeon/Dong administrative welfare center of the farmland location during the direct payment application period from March to April.

For those applying for the direct payment outside Ulsan (with an address only in Ulsan), they must obtain the basic direct payment registration certificate at the direct payment application site and then apply for the Farmer's Allowance at the Eup/Myeon/Dong administrative welfare center of their address in June.

After conducting compliance checks such as actual cultivation for applicants, those confirmed as recipients will receive the Farmer's Allowance between November and December.
