Gyeonggi Research Institute Operates 'Global Market Development Team' in Northern Gyeonggi Including Yangju, Pocheon, and Yeoncheon

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency, in collaboration with Yangju and Pocheon cities and Yeoncheon County, is recruiting companies to participate in the 'Gyeonggi Northern Region Global Market Development Team.'

The Global Market Development Team is a project that selects promising small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) wishing to enter overseas markets and supports them with local market trend analysis and one-on-one export consultations with buyers.

This year, a total of six consultations will be held with buyers from various regions around the world, including Latin America, Europe, and North America, targeting SMEs located in the three participating cities/counties in the northern Gyeonggi area. The consultation sessions include two online video conferences and four overseas local dispatches. Online video consultations are free, while overseas dispatches are paid.

After the consultations with buyers, the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency also supports follow-up management such as local marketing to develop overseas sales channels.

Companies wishing to participate can check the eligibility criteria (which vary by city/county) on the participating city/county websites and apply by the 24th.

Meanwhile, last year, the agency operated the 'Gyeonggi Northern Region Global Market Development Team' a total of nine times, including online video consultations. A total of 142 companies participated in the market development team, achieving 629 consultations and contract promotion results worth $14.99 million.
