Gimhae City Fills Vacancies for Heads of Two Public Health Centers

Gimhae City announced that it designated the health center director positions as open positions for a level 4 local technical secretary or general fixed-term positions eligible for physician recruitment and publicly recruited the health center directors.

According to the city, the city health center selected Heo Mok, former director of the Busan Nam-gu Health Center, who applied alone, through the screening of the selection examination committee and recommendation by the personnel committee.

The West Health Center had no applicants despite two recruitment attempts, so after an internal promotion review by the personnel committee, current Kang Seonhee, head of the West Health Center Health Management Division, was appointed.

The city explained that this personnel appointment is planned to provide an opportunity to establish and promote efficient policies in the health and medical fields and to respond actively and efficiently to crisis situations.

They intend to secure expertise in disease prevention management and health administration for local residents and to proceed with projects at a rapid pace.

Mayor Hong Taeyong said, “With the appointment of the two health center directors, which had been vacant for over a month, the medical and health service functions for citizens at each health center will be strengthened, and key projects tailored to regional characteristics are expected to gain momentum,” adding, “We will create a healthy city Gimhae by achieving tangible results that citizens can feel, including high-quality specialized medical services and the establishment of a public medical center.”
