[Asia Economy (Namyangju) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Kyungbok University held the '30th Winter Degree Conferment Ceremony for the 2022 Academic Year' at the Namyangju Campus Udang Art Hall on the 17th.
The degree conferment ceremony, conducted separately by departments, proceeded in the order of academic report, degree conferment address, encouragement speech, and Tassel ceremony. A total of 2,046 degrees were awarded at the ceremony, including 776 bachelor's degrees and 1,270 associate degrees.
The Udang Award was given to Hwang Min-kyung from the Department of Dental Hygiene and Kim Jun-ho from the Department of Visual Design. Additionally, the Proud Kyungbok Person Award was presented to 18 students including Kwon Yuna from the Department of Nursing, who achieved excellent academic performance in bachelor's degrees, and 26 students including Yeom Ji-yoon from the Department of Physical Therapy, who excelled in associate degrees.
Kim Kyung-bok, Acting President of Kyungbok University, said, "I hope you deeply engrave the founding philosophy of Kyungbok University, Man of Mission, and become proud Kyungbok people based on the knowledge and capabilities you have built so far," and added, "I ask you to become a new milestone leading not only Korea but the world as leaders of our society."
