Accordingly, from the 20th onward, individuals relocating to Miryang City will receive a relocation congratulatory payment of 200,000 KRW per person. This is a significant increase compared to the previous payment of 100,000 KRW per household for two or more people relocating.

The detailed conditions for receiving the relocation congratulatory payment are that the individual must have been registered as a resident in another city, county, or district for at least one year prior to the relocation date and must have resided in Miryang City for more than one month after relocating.

Additionally, ▲ the relocation support fund for high school students has been increased from 100,000 KRW to 200,000 KRW per grade ▲ the relocation support fund for university students has been increased from 200,000 KRW to 300,000 KRW per semester ▲ the relocation support fund for military personnel has been expanded from only professional soldiers to include enlisted soldiers ▲ and a new relocation support fund for middle school students has been established at 200,000 KRW per grade.

Furthermore, the payment method will change from Miryang Love Gift Certificates to charging the Miryang Love Card starting March 1. This will contribute to revitalizing the local economy through the use of the Miryang Love Card immediately upon relocation.

Applications can be made at the local administrative welfare center, and detailed conditions and information about the relocation support fund can be obtained by contacting the Miryang City Planning and Audit Office.

Mayor Park Il-ho said, “We expect an increase in relocators with the expanded implementation of the relocation support fund, and we will do our best to promote effective policies that allow relocators to settle stably, making Miryang a livable city and an attractive city where people want to relocate.”
