The Hoban Construction BIM Guide specifies the operation standards for CDE (Common Data Environment) through collaboration with Autodesk. Hoban Construction is the first in the construction industry to introduce a guide that specifies CDE operation standards.
BIM is an information modeling technology that builds and shares information throughout the entire construction process as a 3D model, supporting planning, design, construction, and operation. By reviewing information at each stage from design to demolition and improving errors in advance, construction quality can be enhanced. CDE is a collaborative environment that stores and manages all data generated in a BIM project. Project participants can access the latest data in real time and share and manage data.
The Hoban Construction BIM Guide specifies CDE operation standards and includes methods for creating and uploading BIM data for CDE implementation, as well as collaboration methods based on CDE. It also provides partners with BIM data creation automation scripts, templates, and BIM libraries. In the future, Hoban Construction plans to continuously update the BIM operation guide based on feedback from its partners.
