Gyeonggi-do Introduces 'Outstanding Talent Recommendation System for High School Graduates in General Administration'

Gyeonggi-do Introduces 'Outstanding Talent Recommendation System for High School Graduates in General Administration' Gyeonggi Provincial Government Gwanggyo New Office Building

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is introducing the 'General Administration Job Series Outstanding Talent Recommendation System' for high school graduates and prospective graduates from specialized high schools nationwide for the first time.

The General Administration Job Series Outstanding Talent Recommendation System, piloted by Gyeonggi Province this year, is a type of career-competitive appointment system. It is a system that selects graduates or prospective graduates from specialized high schools, Meister high schools, and comprehensive high schools as probationary employees, and those recommended by their school principals are eligible to apply.

The province selects probationary employees through a written test and an interview. The written test consists of three subjects: Korean, English, and Korean History, which are conducted independently by Gyeonggi Province. The test questions are prepared by requesting the Ministry of Personnel Management. Currently, the written test for the Grade 9 public recruitment consists of five subjects.

After passing the interview and being selected as a probationary employee, candidates work during a probation period and are finally appointed as civil servants at the scheduled rank after evaluation.

This year, as a pilot project, the province plans to select two candidates and will consider expanding the number of recruits in the long term. It also plans to guide cities and counties within the province to expand the outstanding talent recommendation system.

The outstanding talent recommendation system was established to realize the core value of the 8th elected administration, 'Opportunity Gyeonggi,' and to secure opportunity ladders for youth.

The province expects that once the outstanding talent recommendation system is established, opportunities for excellent high school graduates to enter public service will be further expanded.
