GS25 and Seoul City Launch 'Mom and Dad Happiness Project'... Offering Discount Subscription Passes

GS25 announced on the 20th that it will expand the category of the Seoul City Childcare Support Subscription Service.

Since November last year, GS25 has been providing Our Neighborhood GS Club One Meal Subscription Vouchers in cooperation with the Seoul City childcare support project, the ‘Mom and Dad Happiness Project.’ These subscription vouchers allow customers to purchase meals such as lunch boxes, ready-to-eat meals, and salads at a 20% discounted price. Starting next month, in addition to Our Neighborhood GS Club One Meal, the Cafe25 subscription service will be added. The service benefits have been expanded to allow not only parents but also their children to use the service.

The Mom and Dad Happiness Project is a plan announced by Seoul City to reduce the childcare burden on parents raising children and to create a child-friendly Seoul. The support project provides up to 1.5 billion KRW worth of Our Neighborhood GS Club subscription vouchers. The target beneficiaries are Seoul households raising children under the age of 18, with 20,000 households receiving the service monthly. Those who wish to use the service can apply from the 22nd to the 24th of this month through the Seoul City Public Service Reservation system, and new applications will be accepted every month.

A GS Retail official stated, “GS25 is the only company in the industry participating in Seoul City’s ‘Mom and Dad Happiness Project,’” and added, “We will play an essential platform role in our customers’ life cycles and will spare no effort in supporting the creation of happy families.”
