[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Domestic small and medium-sized information and communication technology (ICT) companies are participating in the 'Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023.'

On the 19th, the Korea Information and Communication Technology Industry Association (KICTA) announced on the 18th that excellent Korean ICT companies have set up a joint promotional pavilion in Hall 7 of the MWC 2023 exhibition, which will be held in Barcelona, Spain, on the 27th.

The pavilion, named the 'Korea Excellent Comprehensive Communication Equipment Pavilion,' will feature 12 communication equipment companies including Damoatech, Moacom Korea, Sangshin Information & Communication, and SR Technology, as well as 5 Fourth Industrial Revolution technology companies such as Ribest, which produces flexible lithium-ion batteries.

During the exhibition, they will participate in export consultations linked with the European Buyers Federation and engage in joint development and investment discussions with companies from Israel, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Jordan.

The association added that a separate joint exhibition pavilion will also be set up for 20 startups that received innovation awards at 'CES 2023,' the world's largest home appliance and IT exhibition held last month in Las Vegas, USA. According to the association, about 80 Korean small and medium-sized communication equipment companies and about 50 startups will participate in MWC 2023.
