Gyeongbuk Province announced that the 2023 Gyeongsangbuk-do Farmer and Fisherman Allowance applications, which have been accepted via mobile and eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare centers since the 6th, will close on February 28.
Eligible applicants are heads of farming households who meet the qualifications of farmers, foresters, or fishermen as defined by individual laws, have registered their agricultural, forestry, or fishery business information before January 1, 2022, and have continuously resided in Gyeongbuk Province for more than one year as of the same date.
Those with a comprehensive income other than farming and fishing exceeding 37 million KRW, those found to have fraudulently received subsidies such as direct payments within the last five years, those penalized for violating the Farmland Act, Mountainous Area Management Act, Livestock Epidemic Prevention Act, or Fisheries Act, public officials, employees of public institutions, spouses of eligible business owners for the Farmer and Fisherman Allowance, or those who live together but have separated households are excluded from eligibility.
Starting this year, business owners who received direct payments in 2022 can apply without visiting the administrative welfare center by using the ‘Moiso Gyeongsangbuk-do’ app without submitting documents.
After the application deadline, eligibility screening will be conducted, and a total of 600,000 KRW in Farmer and Fisherman Allowance will be paid in two installments of 300,000 KRW each in April and August through local currency (local love gift certificates).
Kim Ju-ryeong, Director of the Agriculture, Livestock, and Distribution Bureau of Gyeongbuk Province, said, “The deadline for this year’s Farmer and Fisherman Allowance application is approaching, so farmers and fishermen who have not yet applied should be sure to apply by the 28th via mobile or at their local eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare center.”
