[Asia Economy Reporter Noh Kyung-jo] Samsung C&T Corporation's construction division has been selected as the contractor for the remodeling project of Garak Sang-A 2nd Apartment in Ogeum-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul.
The Garak Sang-A 2nd remodeling association held a general meeting on the 18th and approved the agenda to select Samsung C&T as the contractor. As a result, Garak Sang-A 2nd will be transformed from the existing 6 buildings with 750 households into 6 buildings with 862 households and auxiliary welfare facilities, ranging from 6 basement floors to 25 above-ground floors. The construction cost is approximately 375.3 billion KRW.
Samsung C&T proposed the name "Raemian ValeLuce" for the Garak Sang-A 2nd remodeling complex. It is a compound word of "Vale," meaning a valley in nature, and "Luce," meaning shining dignity.
Fitting the complex name, the exterior will feature a design and curtain wall look inspired by light. A large gatepost measuring 86 meters in length will be installed at the entrance. The sky community will include a Galaxy Lounge, library, and guest house, and the sunken community will have a garden dining & cafe, golf practice range, fitness center, and sauna. The landscaping area ratio will increase from 16% to 28.9%.
Near the project site are Gaerong Station on Subway Line 5 and the Metropolitan Area 1st Ring Expressway (formerly Seoul Outer Ring Expressway). Gaerong Elementary School and Boin Middle and High Schools are nearby. Songpa Library, Ogeum Library, and Seongnae Stream are also accessible on foot.
A Samsung C&T official said, "Based on Raemian's differentiated products and remodeling project experience, we will do our best to ensure the success of the Garak Sang-A 2nd remodeling project."
