Damyang-gun Holds 1388 Youth Support Group General Meeting for At-Risk Youth Assistance

2022 Performance Report, Discussion on Identifying and Supporting At-Risk Youth

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Damyang-gun Youth Counseling and Welfare Center announced on the 17th that it held the 1388 Youth Support Group General Meeting of the Youth Safety Net on the 16th.

The 1388 Youth Support Group, a private partner organization of the Youth Safety Net support project, is commissioned and operated by the Damyang-gun Welfare Foundation, and it detects at-risk youth early and provides customized services.

On the 16th, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do held the 1388 Youth Support Group General Assembly to provide customized support for at-risk youth.

The support group, formed through voluntary participation from legal institutions, hospitals, jjimjilbangs, academies, and others, is composed of four teams: Discovery and Rescue Support Team, Medical and Legal Support Team, Welfare Support Team, and Counseling and Mentor Support Team.

At this meeting, following the 2022 performance report, discussions were held on ways to discover and support at-risk youth in blind spots.

Kim Jinsuk, Director of the Youth Counseling and Welfare Center, said, “We thank the 1388 Youth Support Group for voluntarily participating for the youth of Damyang-gun,” and added, “We will continue to strive to further activate the 1388 Youth Support Group for the healthy growth of Damyang-gun youth.”

Meanwhile, the Damyang-gun Youth Counseling and Welfare Center continuously develops and provides programs to offer emotional support and effective education tailored to the characteristics of youth.
