48 PhDs, 174 Master's Degrees, 1971 Bachelor's Degrees
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Gyeongnam National University held the ‘74th 2022 Academic Year Spring Degree Conferment Ceremony’ at 10:30 a.m. on the 17th in the main building’s large conference room.
With the COVID-19 spread calming down, this degree conferment ceremony was held entirely in person. Gyeongnam National University produced a total of 2,318 outstanding talents, including ▲48 doctoral graduates ▲174 master’s graduates (80 from the Graduate School, 20 from the Graduate School of Industrial Management, 53 from the Graduate School of Education, 21 from the Graduate School of Public Administration) ▲1,971 bachelor’s graduates ▲14 CEO course graduates ▲111 graduates from the Unification Future Advanced Course.
The ceremony was attended by President Park Jae-gyu, Kim Dong-gu, president of the general alumni association, Park Jae-yoon, vice president of academic affairs, Lim Hyung-jun, dean of the graduate school, graduates, and guests.
Gyeongnam National University held the "74th 2022 Academic Year First Semester Degree Conferment Ceremony."
In his commemorative speech, President Park said, “I extend my congratulations and encouragement to all the graduates who have diligently pursued academic research and self-development in their respective fields over the past several years and have now earned this honorable degree.”
He added, “Based on the valuable educational experiences gained during COVID-19, Gyeongnam National University will leap forward as a leading university education powerhouse in the post-COVID era. Since all graduates have become proud members of the Hanma family along with 150,000 alumni seniors, the university will support your creative challenges and be a reliable supporter alongside you.”
Earlier, on the 14th, the degree conferment ceremonies for the College of Health and Welfare, College of Education, and College of Business Administration were held entirely in person at designated locations. On the 16th, the ceremonies for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Public Service, College of Engineering, and AI·SW Convergence College were also held entirely in person at designated locations.
