Kubokgyu Hwasun County Governor Holds First Sarangbang Discussion of the Year

One Step Closer to a Harmonious Hwasun Through Candid Communication with Residents

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 16th, Hwasun-gun, Jeonnam, announced on the 17th that it held a Sarangbang discussion meeting at Iseo Community Center.

As an election pledge, the county has been continuously promoting meetings with residents more than twice a month to directly visit residents, explain county administration plans and progress, and listen to local issues and daily hardships.

Since the New Year's dialogue with residents in January, about 100 residents of Iseo-myeon attended the first Sarangbang discussion meeting held this year, heating up the atmosphere of the meeting.

At the discussion meeting, County Governor Gu Bokgyu started by explaining plans to revitalize the region, including major attractions in Iseo such as Hwasun Jeokbyeok, listened to 21 suggestions from 16 residents, and communicated directly with residents by providing answers.

Oh Byungsik, head of the Iseo-myeon village chiefs, expressed gratitude to Governor Gu, saying, "There have been almost no governors who have held such meetings and communicated candidly with residents like this."

A county official said, "Since taking office, Governor Gu has held 86 various meetings as of February, over seven months into his term," and added, "We will continue to expand communication with residents in the future."
